The Grand August...

Do you know the meaning of August besides it being the 8th month? August (with the emphasis on the 2nd syllable) means: grand, of or befitting a lord; inspiring awe or admiration; majestic; revered, venerable (profoundly honored). And this is all very similar to the numerological meaning of 8: power, responsibility, abundance, good judgment, recognition... Coincidence? Well, you decide...

Sounds good, doesn't it? But here's the twist...in order to experience the good side of august, we need to be also aware of its opposite side...as in yin/yang, dark/light...the usual dualistic sense of reality we all experience as human beings living on earth.

So what are some of these opposite traits? Greedy, materialistic, workaholic, mismanaging money, overly ambitious, seeking control/power, repressing subordinates, impatient with people, stressed, feeling inadequate, low self-esteem, jealousy, lacking humanitarian instincts...well you get the gist.

When you feel some of the above challenges, become aware that all the good stuff is right on the other side of the same coin. Through perseverance and believing in your ability to transform, you can overcome all obstacles and eventually succeed...into the Grand August, the abundant life of love, joy, beauty and harmony.
