Monthly
Forecast for May 2008
by Armand M. Diaz
May features a series of what astrologers call “stations,” time when the planets appear to stop in the sky and change direction. This is an illusion caused by the Earth’s orbit around the sun, but don’t get the idea that that means stations aren’t significant.
All of astrology is based on perspective, where you happen to be at any one place and time. That’s the deal with your birth chart - it’s the point in space and time when you came into the world. Sure, it’s only on perspective, but it’s your perspective.
The same is true of retrogrades. They only appear to be happening from the Earth, but, you know what? That’s where you are. If planets appear to be going backwards or changing direction, it tells us how we will be “seeing” their energies at this time.
You can see for yourself. Saturn stations on the 2nd, lending a heavy, serious energy to the day. It’s Jupiter’s turn on the 9th, which is almost the opposite energy - lots of optimism and enthusiasm. On the 26th, both Mercury and Neptune station, a real astrological rarity. This last day ought to have a foggy, unclear quality to it... a peculiar blend of imagination and confusion which will make attending to practical matters nearly impossible.
These days are some of the energy peaks we’ll be feeling in the merry month of May. Keep your eyes open and see what you think. We’ll each have a slightly different take on things, of course.
After all, we’re all seeing things from different perspectives.
Namaste,
Armand

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. ~Albert Einstein
